DiscoverChina Tour was born from the journeys of a group of passionate travelers who explored every corner of China. Along the way, we encountered many tours that were overly rigid or filled with forced shopping stops, which left us craving more meaningful travel experiences. We believed there had to be a better way to explore the wonders of China—one that focused on culture, freedom, and fun.
During a research trip to Chengdu, we uncovered exactly what makes travel special. We wandered through the lively alleyways of Jinli Ancient Street, shared laughs with locals over a game of mahjong, and indulged in the city’s famous spicy hotpot. One of the most memorable moments was visiting a panda sanctuary, where we experienced the joy of feeding the gentle giants ourselves. It was in these moments—simple, authentic, and unscripted—that we realized what travel should be about.
